The Highest Ranked certificate!
Antique suit of armor from the Edo period with/ JUYO  (important cultural reference asset) Paper

A quality antique samurai armor from the reputable Mizuno family, who dominated Yuki Castle in the Shimousa Domain during the early-mid Edo period (1600s). Still in museum condition. The Kabuto helmet is made of 62 separate iron plates, each precisely proportioned. Fitted together, they create the perfectly formed kabuto seen here. The kabuto features a gold-lacquered wooden headerboard adorned with a seashell, traditionally a good-luck charm among Japanese warlords.

The Yoroi cuirass consists of two divided iron plates, finished with detailed Honkozane hand-spliced iron pieces painted in gold lacquer. It is laced with multicolored silk braids. This armor includes handcrafted metal and leather parts with detailed painting and carvings.

The Mizuno family’s metal crest, “Maru-ni-daki-Omodaka,” appears on multiple metal parts of the armor, including ear guards, chest guards, and sleeves.

This armor is accompanied by the highest certificate issued by the Japanese Armor Society (The Association for the Research and Preservation of Japanese Helmets and Armor), called JUYO Kicho Shiryo. This certificate signifies the item as an "important cultural reference" and is the top rank among the society's five levels of authentication for armor. According to the issuing society, armor with this certificate is recognized at the highest private institution standard in Japan. There is a possibility that the Japanese government may register this armor as an “important cultural asset” in the future. If that happens, the item will be placed in museums and become unavailable on the global market.
