Antique suit of armor Edo Shogun period w/ Tokubetsu-Kicho Certificate

A stunning antique armor on display at the Kyoto SAMURAI Walker exhibit. A quality antique armor from the mid-Edo period (1700s). The Gomaido style cuirass consists of five divided iron plates, which is one of the most challenging models of body armor, finished with genuine leather crumpling. The Momonari-style Kabuto helmet is shaped like a peach, with remarkable side horns and a header board.

A certificate comes with this item. The Tokubetsu Kicho paper certificates granted by The Association for the Research and Preservation of Japanese Helmets and Armor. Storage boxes, display stand(new), and all pieces shown in the catalogue come with.
