Antique suit of armor, Edo Shogun period

A stunning antique armor on display at SAMURAI STORE TOKYO. A quality antique armor from the mid-Edo period (1700s). The Okegawa cuirass consists of 2 divided iron plates, finished with dark brown lacing and rusty-brown lacquering. The iron kabuto features Eboshi, or a warlord hat-shaped bowl. It also features a well-designed brass headerbord representing fern leaves.

About Certificate:
This antique item recently joined our collection, and it does not yet have a certificate from the Japan Armor Society. If you prefer, we can handle the certificate process for you for a fee. Please note that the armor needs to be sent to the Japan Armor Society in Tokyo for inspection, and you won't receive the item until the inspection is complete. It may take 2-5 months to finish the certificate process. If you think it is worth the wait, we are happy to issue a certificate for you. The fee will be between JPY100,000 and JPY300,000, depending on the rank of the certificate to be issued.

The storage boxes, display stand(new), and all pieces shown in the catalogue come with.
