The precise reproduction of warlord Kuroda Nagamasa's suit of armor featuring the distinctive helmet (Kawari-kabuto) inspired by the famous battle of Ichi-No-Tani from the Genpei War back in 1184.This header plate is made of iron and Washi paper and painstakingly finished by hand. The whole suit is 100% handcrafted by 30 or more skillfull artisans. This Yoroi comes with all parts and accessories listed in the charts below, and can be worn, if desired.
Kuroda Nagamasa (黒田 長政, December 3, 1568 – August 29, 1623) was a daimyō during the late Azuchi–Momoyama and early Edo periods. He was the son of Kuroda Kanbei, Toyotomi Hideyoshi's chief strategist and adviser.

The Japanese character painted on the storage box is Zen (前) that means “Go Forth” in English. This word is from the mantra of victory called Kuji-Kiri that samurai warriors have intoned in formal ceremony to go to battlefield.
