Antique suit of armor Edo Shogun period w/ Tokubetsu-Kicho Certificate

A stunning antique armor on display at SAMURAI STORE TOKYO. A quality antique armor from the mid-Edo period (1700s). The cuirass consists of two divided iron plates, finished with Iyozane metal scales. The Kabuto helmet is composed of 64 separate hand-spliced iron plates, each with its own specific proportions. When joined, they result in the perfectly formed kabuto seen here. Kabuto also features a black-lacquered fan-shaped wooden header decoration that represents the Japanese national symbol, Hinomaru.
