Antique suit of armor Edo Shogun period w/ Tokubetsu-Kicho Certificate

A quality antique armor from mid-late Edo period (1700's). Cuirass is made out of leather, black lacquer, and genuine gold-leaves. The kabuto helmet is composed of 32 separate iron plates, each with its own specific proportions. When joined, they result in the perfectly formed kabuto seen here. Helmet features a stunning wooden header board finished with gold painting. Registered as Tokubetsu Kicho paper "Important historical armor" by The Association for the Research and Preservation of Japanese Helmets and Armor. The original storage box, display stand, and all pieces shown in the catalogue come with. The Fukikaeshi ear guards have a butterfly crest that has been used by many warlords/shogun like Oda Nobunaga and Ikeda family.
