Antique suit of armor Edo Shogun period

A quality but heavily damaged antique armor from mid-late Edo period (1700's). Cuirass is made out of rectangular iron pieces. The kabuto helmet is composed of 8 separate dried-lacquer plates, each with its own specific proportions. When joined, they result in the perfectly formed kabuto seen here. Helmet features brass Kuwagata header board. The original storage box, display stand, and all pieces shown in the catalogue come with.

Style : Life-size authentic antique suit of armor.

Age : Edo period (1600-1700's)

Cuirass: Black lacquer painted Tate-hagi style iron body armor

Helmet: Consists of 8 spliced lacquere plates bowl with iron neck guards

Menpo Mask:mustache is heavily damaged. Half hair parts are missing.

Kote sleeves: Most lacquered iron pieces are missing.

Haitate Thigh Guard:Black lacquer painted leather

Sune-Ate leg guards:Silk clothings covered with brown metal chain-mails and iron plates

Yoroi-Hitsu storage box:Wooden box
