This is very magnificent and beautiful KATANA long blade from Edo period in 1600-1800's Handcrafted by swordsmith TACHIBANA TERUMASA located in Mutsu domain, north part of Japan. The inscription of the sword smith name is carved on the tang. The blade comes with a Certificate Tokubetsu Hozon (Special preserved), of NBTHK (Society for the Preservation of Japanese Art Swords). Two different ornate mountings come with this blade. One is traditional Katana style ornate and the other is naval sword style well-finished ornate mounting.
