Antique suit of armor Edo Shogun period w/ Tokubetsu-Kicho Certificate

A quality antique armor from the mid-Edo period (1700s). The cuirass consists of two divided iron plates, finished with Okegawa-style construction. The Kabuto helmet is composed of 16 separate hand-spliced iron plates, each with its own specific proportions. When joined, they result in the perfectly formed kabuto seen here. Kabuto features a large brass Kuwagata header board.

A certificate comes with this item. The Tokubetsu-kichō-shiryō paper certificate (kōshu-tokubetsu-kichō-shiryō candidate, very high-quality reference and item worthy of appreciation), granted by the Japanese Armor Society.

Storage boxes, display stand(new), and all pieces shown in the catalogue come with.
