Antique Katana sword in Ornate Mounting
Swordsmith: TAIRA TAKADA school

A complete set of antique Katana long sword and ornate mountings. Very beautiful antique real sword from Muromachi ear about 1500, and certified as Taira Takada that means the blade was forged in the Higo Takada that is one of the major smith schools or groups of quality blade from old times. Registered as Hozon paper "Preservation Sword" by NBTHK (Japan Sword Preservation Society). There is no inscription on tang just like most TairaTakada school's blades don't have inscriptions. But NBTHK certified this item as authentic Taira Takada blade. The blade comes in a stunning ornate mounting including all authentic fittings. Tsuba guard is very beautiful.
